Description :
Oil filters prevent contaminants and pollutants to sensitive engine parts, which may be contained in the lubricating oil. The internal source of contamination may be because of rubbing surfaces on engine, blow by gases leaking from the rings of pistons and natural de-gradation of oil itself by time.
The presence of foreign matter in the piston ring areas can be seriously damaging to engine. The most vital application of oil is to lubricate the engine's moving parts. Dirty oil damages these parts much faster.
Oil filters as well as the oil should be changed frequently to increase engine life.
