Established in 1970 to produce bicycle, motorcycle and industrial chains the company under the second generation of Mr. Hua-Tien Wu decided to specialize solely in chains for bicycles in Taiwan!
TAYA has invested in more and more sophisticated methods of production, machinery, plant and technological chain design.
As a direct result of this investment TAYA are once again pushing the evolution of the bicycle chain forward. ULTIMA the first ever self lubricating bicycle chain is announced at the 2002 Eurobike Show in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
This consolidation, centralization and specialization are this company’s continuing philosophy and in this way it remains competitive and reliable.
In 1999 a new TAYA factory was opened and installed with TEBOLON anti-rust coating equipment for the treatment of bicycle chains for use in salty, polluted and acid / alkaline situations. This has proved to be a great success in coastal areas and wherever severe weather conditions prevail. TAYA’s expertise in this field has created a demand for this coating for other bicycle components and from many other industries in Taiwan.
